According to the article EBay Plans Fulfillment Service for Sellers in the Wall Street Journal today, eBay is moving toward testing a seller fullfillment service similiar to what Amazon currently offers sellers. The article quotes eBay spokeswoman Johnna Hoff as stating one goal for the test of this new service “will be to cut down delivery times for eBay sellers in China” pointing out that it currently can take up to 18 days for items to arrive from China.
It will be interesting to learn about this new storage and fulfillment service and the fees associated with it…and if this branch of eBay will be contracted out or an in-house production.
