Simply My Business

Through facebook, many of you know that our dear sweet Blondie suffered a stroke on July 4th. She is definitely a part of our family and we have been completely saddened by her illness. Fortunately she is showing some progress and we are somewhat encouraged.

As I was looking through some of the items that I was going to list in the eBay EALC Challenge, I came across an adorable Lhasa Apso Christmas Ornament. Blondie is a mixed breed that looks like a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Corgi (when she is not shaved). Do you have that picture in your head? It sounds horrible, but she is just a cutie. Anyhow, I was getting this ornament ready to list, I began to think how nice it would be to have a Christmas Ornament that looked like Blondie. With her uniqueness I suspect that we will be hard pressed to find that special ornament, but I am hoping that this Lhasa Apso ornament makes its way to a good home filled with love for their little darling. I know that if I ever DID find the perfect Blondie ornament, I would spend a pretty penny to get it.

With beautifully vivid colors, this lovely butterfly hat box is a great container for storage. The sky blue interior brings a smile to my face.
What do you store in your hat boxes? Scarves? Secret Treasures? Love letters? Or do you actually use yours to store hats? Not owning any other hat than a cowboy hat, I find that I love hat boxes stacked together as a focal point on a table. No matter your choice of use, this is one hat box sure to bring compliments.

As we are getting ready for Back to School activities, we realize that for those of us who “craft” that Christmas is around the corner. Getting started early eases some of the holiday stress. In an effort to move forward with the Lighten the Load Challenge, I find myself offering items from my collections of pieces. This stunning, vintage Acanthus Leaf Low Console Bowl was a terrific addition to my ivory/matte white collection that I used in our wedding several years ago.
Unfortunately, I do not have an identification on this lovely piece, though I have tried many times and have presented photos to the wonderfully helpful member of the Pottery, Glass and Porcelain Board on eBay, but to no avail.
The only markings available is the E430 stamped on the bottom of this glossy piece. I am truly hoping that someone will find this bowl as remarkable as I did and will give it a great new home…and possibly an identification.
